dct:abstract
We report the observation of a green frog Pelophylax kl. esculentus (Amphibia, Ranidae) completely ingesting an aquatic shrew of the genus Neomys (Mammalia, Soricidae) in the French department of Loiret. Although the consumption of shrews is known for the marsh frog, it seems that this is the first reported case for the edible frog.
