Three species of Stagetus Wollaston, 1861. are recorded for the first time in France: S. albarracinus Vitiolas, 2016, S. confusus Vinolas, 2013, and S. ferreri Espanol, 1994. S. confusus is also reported as new to Italy. Moreover, the occurrence in France of S. borealis Israelson, 1971, and S italicus Reitter, 1885, is confirmed. An illustrated key to species in French and English is proposed for the 10 Stagetus species occurring in France. This key is completed by a commented catalogue with their distribution and elements on their life history.
