On 29th October 2016, a first winter Yellow Wagtail showing a grey-and white plumage and uttering flight calls typical of the eastern subspecies was recorded and photographed on the island of Ouessant, Brittany. A description is given, including photographs and sonograms of flight calls. This constitutes the first documented occurrence of an Eastern Yellow Wagtail (tschutschensis group) in France.
