A first list for the families Tipulidae, Pediciidae, Cylindrotomidae and Limoniidae (Diptera Tipuloidea) is provided for Pays de la Loire region (France). A first mention in France for the Limoniidae Molophilus bihamatus de Meijere, 1918 is included. The present list establishes the presence of a total amount of 547 species: 55 Tipulidae, 7 of Pediciidae, o of Cylindrotomidae and 85 Limoniidae. Is included a small description of the habitat in the region.
