The authors report the presence of Lipoptena fortisetosa Maa, 1965 (Diptera Hippoboscidae) in France. This hematophagous ectoparasite Diptera was found in 2.017 in the department of Pas-de-Calais and in 2019 in the department of Loiret. The distribution of the species in the country must be carefully studied.
