In order to control the presence of the cicada Tibicina haematodes (Scopoli, 1763) cited by various observers, some prospection were conducted during the summer 2058 in two French localities in the Loire and Savoie departments,. The identification of the calling songs emitted by the males and the observation of some morphological features of several individuals made it possible to identify Tibicina steveni (Krynicki, 1837) in the Loire and T quadrisignata (Hagen, 1850 in Savoy, where these two species were still unknown and probably misidentified with T haematodes. Moreover, the cicada Tettigettalna argentata (Olivier, 1790) is also added to the list of new species for Savoy, increase to eight the number of cicadas known within this department. The collected elements highlight latitudinal records for T steveni and T quadrisignata in France, as well as the first station for the country where T quadrisignata and Cicadetta cantilatrix Sueur&Puissant, 2007 live together. The species composition observed is described and some elements relating to their ecology are brought. A geonemic approach is advanced and discussed for each of them.
