dct:abstract
This paper deals with the study of spiders caught in Wallis and Futuna Islands in February and March 2015. Before this study, only one species was known/reported in this territory. 55 species are mentioned for the first time in Wallis and Futuna. Among them 43 species have been identified at a specific level. Two species are described : Banaidja malaui and Daramulunia hornensis. A synthesis of the species inhabiting Wallis and Futuna is presented in a table, including comparisons with Fiji and Samoa fauna. The arachnofauna of Wallis and Futuna appears to be very close to the fauna of Fiji.
