dct:abstract
Coxischyrocerus inexpectatus is recorded for the first time in the French Atlantic coast. The species was sampled from May 2018 to April 2019, associated to the hydrozoan Amphisbetia operculata at the opening of Arcachon Bay. Coxischyrocerus inexpectatus occurred in relatively small populations, with a relatively low relative abundance (about 1% of the peracarid community). Among the different peracarids species collected, we also note the presence of Stenothoe tergestina, representing its second record for the Bay of Biscay since 1993.
