These collections were constituted as part of his carcinological research but also in his field of hydrogeology because he is responsible for the drinking water supply of Penne. Among his collection of stygobitic crustaceans, Claude Bou had discovered gastropod molluscs belonging to the genera Moitessieria, Islamia and Bythinella.
